KATSU RESTAURANT

Located off the beaten path, this Japanese restaurant is a real treat. It is my all-time favorite. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. There is a small sushi bar that seats 7 & two dining rooms. The sushi and the hand rolls are always fresh & delicious. The individual pieces of sushi are large and can't be eaten in a single bite. I especially like their spider rolls (fried soft shell crab) and the Napoleon rolls (fried oysters). The menu includes the full range of Bento box combinations like tempura & teriyaki. The beef teriyaki has a wonderful & unique flavor. We also like the salmon teriyaki & the pork tonkatsu (breaded pork loin). There are lots of daily fish & seafood specials and their sushi is wonderful. There is a small but adequate wine list, a selection of beers and a large sake list as well as flights of sake.
