This small unpretentious restaurant in Jefferson Park has a great selection of fresh fish and some steaks and chicken for the non-seafood eaters. We shared a Ceasar salad and I enjoyed the pan-fried perch and shrimp combo. The rainbow trout was also very good. Another excellent appetizers is the pastrami salmon; wonderfully cured salmon served with onions, mustard and toasted rye points. On Wednesdays, there is a $25 prix fixe menu and for an additional $10, you get a flight of 3 wines matched with the courses. I had a starter of 1/2 dozen oysters followed by the crab stuffed trout. The oysters were salty sweet and very fresh. The crab stuffing was more like a meaty crab cake on top of a nicely sauted trout. The owner is also the server so service can be a bit slow but it is personable.
